North-West winds pushing 45 cm hard compact ice to Laisvallby harbor which is getting destroyed by the Ice jam.. We just had time to remove a boat and the pub terrace structure 🙂
Water level is raising high on Laisalven … probably an unusual flooding to expect.

Last week, we hosted two Germans and two Japanese guests who had difficulties to find hotel rooms available in Arjeplog. Exceptionally, we fixed breakfast with different mornings theme : Japanese, Continental, English,.. At check out, I came for farewell, asking if they enjoyed their stay into our humble mountain lodge far away from main stream hotels ? One Japanese replied : « I spent my life in many hotels all over the world but that’s the very first time I stay in such a place which is not an hotel and here I feel… at home… without my wife. Ha ha ha… » Of course.
Perfect sunny cold day to clear the hard snow packed on the roofs: 1 m thickness can weight over 200 kg/m2
