Nice view from Garmadakk top (610 m)
Positive test on Laisälven for “LOTTA” after 3 days into the water to swell the clinker’s hull : that’s an old wooden boat acquired from Kjell in Adolfström, which has been standing for years by Lutaure lake. It looks like the twin sister of the beautiful boat “Sven-Göran EILIF ” built by their father Joel. After fixing few cracks on the clinkers, caulking old fashion method with tar, sanding, warnishing, the rehab will continue next spring to repair few parts. Hum… plastic boats require less time and affection.
the unusual summer heat wave has literally either burnt or dried the lichens on the ground…
The beautiful wooden boat “Sven-Göran EILIF Lindmark” is soon ready to ride on Laisälven after a varnish layering by Sven and myself. I am very proud and touched to take over this Laisvallby”s boys boat.
Laying fish nets on Laisälven last Friday with Ulf : unusual amount of perches on the right bank, probably due to warm waters.
Temperatures by Lapland mountains have already shifted to Autumn mode since first week of August but European media’s are just going insanes about having finally a real warm summer after the cold rainy summer 2017 and the long cold snowy winter 2018
Fantastic swimming conditions on laisalven
The last clear evening of the summer
Electric storm on Laisan
air 28°C, water 20°C : Perfect day for paddling Yrafdeltats with excellent lunch in Baverholmen
Midnight sun on 21th June, 02.00 AM : the sun doesn’t set
Laisbacken cabin 50 m2, facing Mount Niebsurte, soon available for rentals.
North-West winds pushing 45 cm hard compact ice to Laisvallby harbor which is getting destroyed by the Ice jam.. We just had time to remove a boat and the pub terrace structure 🙂
Water level is raising high on Laisalven … probably an unusual flooding to expect.
